  Chen Yuannian
  Secretary General, China Banking Association 

Chen Yuannian is Secretary General of China Banking Assocaition. Born in 1964, he has studied at PLA Engineering Institute, Nanjing Institute of Political Science and worked at PLA Chengdu Area and PLA General Logistics Department from September 1981 to June 1997. From July 1997 to October 2003, he worked at the People's Bank of China and then joined CBRC Beijing in November 2003. After working at CBRC General Office from May 2006 to March 2009, he took the position of Secretary General at China Banking Association.


 

  Gertrude Tumpel-Gugerell
  Former Executive Board Member, European Central Bank 

Gertude Tumpel Gugerell, along with former ECB board chairman Jean-Claude Trichet and former ECB board vice-chairman Lucas Papademos, holds the distinction of being the longest serving member of the powerful six-person European Central Bank executive board. She was also known particularly for leading financial and payments integration for the Euro-zone and playing a key policy role in maintaining the euro's status as a major reserve currency. During her eight year term at the ECB, Tumpel-Gugerell was responsible for ECB market operations, payments operations, human resources, budget and organisation. Previous to that, she was the vice-governor at the Bank of Austria where she also served as the chair of the Banking Advisory Committee at the European Union as well as an IMF governor.

  Zheng Zhiying
  Chairman, Bank of Handan 

Zheng Zhiying is the Chairman of Bank of Handan. Bank of Handan is a regional joint-stock commercial bank with the Municipal Government of Handan as the biggest shareholder. Zheng, Senior Economist, recipient of special allowance of the State Council, specialist at the 50 Experts in Social Science of Hebei Provice, was awarded one of the Outstanding Persons in Yanzhao Culture. After working at grass-root office, he took office at Handan Planning Commission, Handan Trust and Investment Company, Handan Port Office and Municipal Government of Handan successively from 1982 to 2005.


 

  Li Hui Hui
  CEO of Consumer Bank, Evergrowing Bank 

Li Hui Hui currently serves in Evergrowing Bank as CEO of Consumer Bank, responsible for overall retail banks and credit card, SME business banking strategies and P&Ls, directing operations including frontline, middle office and back-end support. Prior to Evergrowing Bank, Li was with OCBC Bank (China) as Head of Consumer Financial Service. Prior to OCBC, Li used to work in Citibank AP regional office and Citibank China as Senior Vice President, sometimes seconded by Citibank to JVs such as China Guangfa Bank and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank to transform consumer banking and credit card business.


 

  Li Lin
  General Manager, Strategy & Development Department, SPD Bank 

Li Lin is the general manager of strategy & development department of SPD Bank. Li has been engaging in commercial bank operation, management and research for years in the fields of strategy management, risk control and macro-economy. He has published articles in major research magazines and has shared research results on the choices of business model and sustainable growth of domestic commercial banks under the new technology development environment. Recently, Li’s main research focus is information & communication technology development, mobile internet and the internet and its impact on commercial banks. He has a doctor’s degree from Peking University.


 

  Hwa Erh-Cheng
  Chief Economist, Baoshang Bank

Hwa Erh-Cheng is chief economist at Baoshang Bank. Prior to this he served as chief economist at China Construction Bank, as well as in several departments of World Bank including the residence mission office in China, and economist at the International Monetary Fund. Earlier he pioneered research of a monthly econometric model of the US economy at Cornell University and the national bureau of economic research. He also served as chairman of Wuxi and Qunshang high-tech science park, advisor for the governor of China’s Guangdong province, and taught at Peking University, Beijing Normal University and Shih-Hsin University as visiting professor.


 

  Zong Liang
  Vice Director, International Finance Research Institute, Bank of China

Zong Liang currently serves as vice president of the international finance research institute at Bank of China. In the past few years, Zong has been involved in more than ten research projects and published more than 200 papers including “Ren Min Bi ‘s Going Global and the Prediction”, “The Changes in Regulation After Recession” and “Risk Management in Cross Region Banks”. Zong was also part of the PHD service group and mayor’s assistant at Fuzhou, Jiang Su Province.


 

  Wang Wei
  Founder & CEO, Leqian and Former Chief Editor, Hexun

Wang Wei, a senior practitioner in Internet and finance, has worked in major financial institutions like ICBC and multinational companies like IBM. He has worked as editor-in-chief and vice president at famous internet enterprises such as Fenghuang, Hexun, JRJ, Sina and Sohu (NASDAQ:SOHU). In 2014, he founded Leqian.com. "Born for your financial freedom", the website aims to provide efficient and convenient financing for persons, SMEs and non-bank financial institutions with financing needs, to provide safe, secured and highly profitable internet wealth management service for investors, and to provide nonstandardized capital market investment service for high-net-value customers.


 

  Louise Zhang
  Head of Client Products & Solutions, Greater China Global Transaction Banking Deutsche Bank

Louise Zhang is head of client products & solutions, Greater China in Global Transaction Banking. Based in Shanghai, she directs a team covering mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Zhang is one of the key members of Deutsche Bank China's working committee looking after RMB cross-border settlements. In this role, she maintains frequent dialogues with the major regulators in the country and participates in key surveys organised by the central bank of China. Before joining Deutsche Bank in November 2006, Zhang worked in a variety of roles in transaction banking for HSBC Shanghai and Hong Kong.


 

  Christopher Balding
  Head of Client Products & Solutions, Greater China Global Transaction Banking Deutsche Bank

Christopher Balding is an associate professor of finance and economics at the HSBC Business School of Peking University Graduate School. As an expert in sovereign wealth funds, Balding recently released a book entitled “Sovereign Wealth Funds: The New Intersection of Money and Power”. Balding’s work has been cited by a variety of global media outlets including CNBC and he speaks regularly on the Chinese economy and financial markets. His scholarly work has been published in such leading journals as the Review of International Economics, the International Finance Review, and the Journal of Public Economic Theory on diverse topics including CDS pricing, the WTO, and the economics of adoption and abortion. Balding worked in private equity prior to entering academia.


 

  Zhao Xijun
  Professor and Deputy Dean, School of Finance, Renmin University of China

Zhao Xijun is currently professor and deputy dean of the school of finance at Renmin University of China(RUC). Zhao possesses more than twenty years of experience in university level education, specializing infields such as international financial markets, financial regulation, monetary policy and Chinese economy.In his career as a university lecturer, Zhao has also spent two years at JP Morgan Beijing as an externalconsultant and served as a local expert for the “Capacity Building of China Everbright Bank” project inAsian Development Bank.


 

  Chen Wei
  Deputy General Manager of headquarter office, China Minsheng Bank

Chen Wei is currently deputy general manager of headquarter office, China Minsheng BankingCorporation. Joined since 2009, he held the position as director of development and planning departmentof the bank. Mr. Chen is known as “father of customer voice”, specializing in bank strategy and multibusiness lines. Before this, He worked in headquarter of Bank of America for many years and had assistedChina Construction Bank as an expert from BOA on strategy transformation.


 

  Peng Junming
  Chairman, Empire Capital Management

Peng Junming is currently chairman of Empire Capital Management. With considerable experience inforeign exchange reserve and sovereign fund management, Peng was with the State Administration ofForeign Exchange, People’s Bank of China and China Investment Corporation in the field of investmentstrategies prior to joining Empire Capital Management. He Launched China’s first civil military fund andmanaged several QDII and future funds. As a hedge fund manager with a global perspective, Peng is well-versedin the stock, bonds, foreign exchange and commodities future markets.


 

  Bao Haijie

Bao Haijie has more than twenty years of experience in corporate and retail banking, risk management,strategic planning and post-merger management. Worked as deputy general manager of SDB MortgageDepartment, Head of Staff of SDB CEO’s Office, Head Of PMO of Integration Office, Director of PABRetail Supporting Center. Since she took office as Director of PAB Retail E Financing Business Unit, shesuccessfully led the team in launching various innovative products including Ping An Mobile Banking.

Parag Ekbote heads the Business Solutions Group for Transaction Banking in APAC for Misys. For the past 20 year,he has played Leadership roles in leading banking technology companies spanning - Sales, Businessdevelopment and Pre Sales, with specific focus on Transaction Banking. He is a regular speaker at bankingconferences globally and has a keen interests in the convergence of Trade Finance and Cash managementand also developments in the space of payments.
