Jaturong Jantarangs
Senior Director, Financial Institutions Strategy Department, Financial Institutions Policy Group, Bank of Thailand
Jaturong Jantarangs is the senior director of financial institutions strategy department at Bank of Thailand and is responsible for overseeing financial institutions strategy, including financial development roadmap and liberalisation plan, as well as ASEAN banking integration. He joined Bank of Thailand in 1988 as an economist and since then had held key positions in different departments including risk management, information system examination, financial risk management and operations. He currently heads a working group within the bank to draft the next five-year financial sector master plan for Thailand. He also oversees financial stability assessment relating to the financial sector side.
Le Xia
Chief Economist for Asia, BBVA
Le Xia is chief economist for Asia at BBVA’s research department. He also serves as a research fellow at the International Monetary Institute at Renmin University of China. Prior to joining BBVA, Xia worked for in treasury department at Bank of China (Hong Kong). He has extensive interest in economic research, in particular for monetary policy and banking sectors of emerging economies. He has published his works in both academic journals and the mass media.
Rom Hiranpruk
Member, Payment Systems Committee, Bank of Thailand
Rom Hiranpruk has been member of the Payment Systems Committee at Bank of Thailand since 2012. He started his career in 1980 as a teacher and since 1988 has served on advisory panels on IT and computing for government and private sector organisations in Thailand. He had been advisor to the minister of MICT on the country’s National Broadband Policy and Cyber Security. He was instrumental in establishing two agencies for E-government and electronic transactions which are now both key components of the Digital Economy programme. In 2014 he was selected as a member of the board of directors of the Broadcast and Telecom Research and Development Funds for Public Interest (BPFP). In December 1999 he was named “IT Person of the Year” by The Nation newspaper for his work in the software industry as the founding director of Software Park Thailand at the National Science and Technology Development Agency.
Debashis Sarkar
Author and International Customer Experience Expert
Debashis Sarkar is winner of the 2014 Phil Crosby Medal and is known worldwide for his contribution to lean management and customer performance improvement. Author of seven books, he has invested more than 23 years in leadership positions at companies such as Unilever, Coca Cola, ICICI Bank and Standard Chartered. His pioneering work in this space has been adopted by practitioners worldwide. His ideas and experiences are encapsulated in more than 70 articles and papers. Till recently he was the global head of reengineering at Standard Chartered. Earlier he was the head for organizational excellence at ICICI Bank where his work is used as an industry benchmark.
Wareemon Niyomthai
Advisor to the President for SME Banking, Krung Thai Bank
Wareemoon Niyomthai has been employed at Krung Thai Bank since October 2013 and is currently advisor to the president for SME Banking. Before her current assignment she held various senior level positions in Siam Commercial Bank, including EVP of Bangkok business line, small business division as well as strategy and business development. She started her career at Standard Chartered Bank, where she worked for five years and was AVP for the line and medium-sized business customers department.
Erik Stephen Kragas
EVP and Head, Credit Risk Analytics Division, Risk Management Group, Siam Commercial Bank
Erik Stephen Kragas is a business leader with over 25 years of experience, specialising in building and maximising returns from advanced analytics infrastructure, teams, and capabilities. He has a passion for creating high-impact and needle-moving business solutions through advanced analytics. In his current role as EVP and head, credit risk analytics division at Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), Kragas sets the strategic direction and leads the development of analytical risk management solutions for retail, SME, and corporate business lines. Prior to SCB he held key posts in MasterCard, Citibank and DBS Bank Pacific, covering the Asia, Middle-East and Africa regions. He began his career at American Express and worked with JPMorgan and IBM Consulting in the US.
Asif Saleem
Former Head, Digital Channel Management and Business Insights, Standard Chartered Bank
Asif Saleem is the former head of digital channel management at Standard Chartered Bank. He has over 13 years of experience in the banking industry and is a specialist in digital channels including channel migration, digital analytics, business planning, product development and channel management. In his previous role, he transformed a set of subscale channels to become one of the lead and the most consumer-preferred channels within the bank. His initiative achieved over 3.5 million digital active customers and over 100 million financial transactions conducted via channels making it approx ~ 70% of all transactions. He was also a pioneer in establishing a digital sales target operation model of credit cards and personal loans which sold over 200,000 credit cards and 24,000 personal loans in 2014.
Yaowaluck Charnyapornpong

Yaowaluck Charnyapornpong has been with Krungsri Bank since 2007 and leads teams that focus on studying customer behavior to gain insight, identify cross-sell, up-sell and retention opportunities, then launch campaigns to targeted customers. She also covers portfolio and customer segmentation analysis to support business growth, promote customer experience and optimise customer profitability. Yaowaluck has over 20 years of experience working within the banking sector, covering financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, customer profitability and customer relationship management. Before joining Krungsri, she spent seven years with Standard Chartered Bank both in Thailand and the group office in Singapore.
Martijn van Keulen
Head of Digital Strategy & Channels, TMB Bank
Martijn van Keulen is head of digital strategy and channels at Thailand’s TMB Bank, responsible for setting and driving the business strategy, development and operations of the TMB Direct, TMB Touch and ME by TMB digital platforms. He has more than 15 years of retail banking experience, first with ABN AMRO and for the past five years with ING where he was part of the management team and held responsibility for all internet and mobile sales and services, serving eight million consumers. The mobile and Internet team won, among others, prizes for best banking app.
Chakkravut Chinalai
Vice President, Bangkok Bank
Chakkravut Chinalai is currently vice president of Bangkok Bank, Thailand. He has over 18 years of experience in the banking industry, including relationship management, project management, and SME and retail operations. Prior to joining Bangkok Bank in 2009, Chinalai was the director in charge of Tesco Lotus Card at GE Money . In his early career, he was project coordinater and marketing head at Citibank. Besides being vice president, he is also a part-time instructor at a graduate school.
Trirong Butragaht
Chief SME Banking Officer, TMB Bank
Trirong Butragaht currently serves as Chief SME Banking Officer at TMB Bank. He joined the bank in 2012, and has held positions such as senior vice president and head of business banking segment. Butragaht was head of strategy and product, business banking group (SME) at Siam Commercial Bank before becoming head of its global transactional service and marketing division. He led SME business, BKK2 network at Kasikorn Bank from 2000-2009. Before joining the banking industry, he worked in the sales department of Procter & Gamble (Thailand) Limited.
Pipavat Bhadranavik
First Senior Vice President, SME Business Division, Kasikorn Bank
Pipavat Bhadranavik is first senior vice president of the SME business division at KasikornBank. He started his career in 2003 as vice president of the credit underwriting department and became the head of the same department in 2005. Later he lead the corporate strategy department of the bank from 2008 till 2009. He has been working in the SME department since 2009 as VP and has been holding the current position since 2011. He has an MBA from Chulalongkorn University.
Prinya Jinantuya
FVP, Payments and Merchant Acquiring, Thanachart Bank
Prinya Jinantuya leads Thanachart’s new products for their cards and payments team, focussing on the merchant acquiring, liaising with all parties regarding product design, financial modeling for business projects, launch plans and systems development. With broad finance, marketing and new business development experience spanning approximately 20 years within the payments and consumer financial services industry in Thailand, Jinantuya’s diverse background has allowed him to amass expertise in a number of areas. His most recent success was in leading Thanachart to successfully become the first provider of virtual and physical prepaid card solutions for the biggest telcos in the country. Before joining Thanachart he held various key positions in Amex, Visa and MasterCard.
Anan Jinawong
SVP, Digital Banking Head, Citibank Thailand
Anan Jinawong is currently senior vice president - digital banking head at Citibank Thailand He has over 20 years’ of experience in digital services strategic planning and large scale IT project management. Currently Jinawong leads the digital banking team at Citibank Thailand which has won several awards for Best Internet Banking in Thailand over the past 12 years. He specialises in digital banking platform development and customer adoption. In addition to this he also has extensive experience in managing business transformation projects. Jinawong has held leadership roles in IT and telco companies including IBM, Ericsson, and Nokia.
Pakamon Tulyapizitchai
Head of Digital Marketing Department, E-Business Division, Krungsri Bank
Pakamon Tulyapizitchai spent seven years with GE Money, after which she moved into her current position at Krungsri Bank to transform the bank’s distribution network in communications, and establish an e-content function. Currently, she oversees all social media channels of the bank (Facebook, Line, twitter, Linkedin, Youtube, etc), from content marketing strategy for the retail and SME businesses, complaint monitoring and customer behavior data from social media. In addition, she also works with e-solutions to identify the right tools and platforms for the bank's website and social media analytics. Under her leadership, the bank has successfully launched a new web marketing platform that fully integrates with social media.
Eric Tachibana
Managing Director, eXtropia Holdings
Eric Tachibana has held senior banking roles at Barclays Capital, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer for the Asia Pacific technology office at UBS where he covered business management, enterprise applied innovation, strategy, marketing and engagement for investment banking, wealth management, and asset management. Eric has experience as entrepreneur in Silicon Valley as well as a successful private equity fund manager. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at the National University of Singapore and Thammasat University business schools. Currently he is working with Amazon Web Services in Platform Strategy and transformation.

Co-founder and CEO, Coins.ph
Ron Hose is co-founder and CEO of coins.ph, Philippine's leading Bitcoin exchange. Hose was a founding partner at Innovation Endeavors, an early stage venture capital fund backed by Eric Schmidt. He was also co-founder of TokBox, a consumer video conferencing company that was acquired by Telefonica. TokBox was backed by Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital, Stanford University and some of Silicon Valleys’ best-known angel investors. Hose holds a Bachelors and Masters degree from Cornell University and is also an active investor and adviser to several Silicon Valley startups.
Greg Russell

Greg Russell is a senior client engagement business executive with over 25 years of regional leadership and management experience across sales, business development and marketing functions. He currently leads the Asia Pacific IBM Security Trusteer team, working closely with both global and regional banks on cyber security and cyber fraud prevention strategies along with go-to-market deployment of new cyber fraud security frameworks. Prior to IBM, he held management positions with Top Global MNC companies such as British Telecoms, and Telstra.
