Mr. David A. Jones, President, SSVB and SVB Asia

David A. Jones is primarily responsible for SVB’s businesses in Asia, including the SPD Silicon Valley Bank. David joined SVB in Shanghai, China in August2013 and has been working with the bank for the past eighteen years. He first joined SVB as chief credit officer in 1997, where he was responsible for credit policy, credit underwriting, and credit quality. During his tenure, SVB’s volume of loans to investors and innovation companies grew from $500 million to over $10 billion.

Mr. James Zheng, Marketing Lead, The Floow Limited and Owner & Director, Say-DE Consulting

James Zheng is currently the CFO of Shanghai Lujiazui International Financial Asset Exchange Co.Ltd (Lufax). Before joining Lufax, Mr. Zheng has over 20 years of experiences working both domestically and internationally in many management responsibilities in various companies, including MD for Fosun Capital, CEO of Joy.cn, Deputy CFO of Fosun group, COO / CFO of eBay China, COO of PayPal China, and consultant of Accenture.

Mr. Andy Dan, Project Manager, Wanxiang Blockchain Labs

Andy Dan is a software professional with more than nine years of experience. As a project manager of Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and the core team member of the China Ledger project, Andy is responsible for technology management, research and development of blockchain core and protocol. Prior to joining Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, Andy served as software engineer and project leader at Sony Corporation where he was responsible for the design, development and commercialization of software.

Mr. Richard Kelly, Chief Catalyst, Fung Group

Richard is a member of Fung Management, who is focused on new value creation and innovation within the group. Prior to this job, he was managing director at IDEO Asia Pacific. Based in Shanghai, his role was to help clients realise new opportunities and build innovation capabilities. His clients included Coke, Samsung, TCL, VF Corp, and the Singapore government. Before joining IDEO London in 2006, Richard worked for Levi’s Strauss & Company for nine years, and also ran his brand consulting business in London and San Francisco.

Mr. Jackal Ma, Co-founder, Tongdun Technology

Jackal has more than 30 years of working experience covering North America, Australia, Asia and Europe. He founded Tongdun Technology (formerly known as Fraud Matrix). He is also a pioneer in the application of big data technology with his “Cross Industry Joint Defense” concept.

Mr. Daniel L. Zou, CMO and Director of Product, Sesame Credit, Ant Financial

Before joining Sesame Credit, Daniel was a Senior Product Manager at Equifax, responsible for its core bureau model development, anti-fraud scoring models and decision engine products. Daniel led post-acquisition product launch effort in multiple corporate merger deals, where he gained deep insights on North American credit reporting industry and retail banking risk management practices. Daniel holds a MBA degree from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and also has a CFA.

Mr. Du Bing, Assistant GM, Digital Banking Platform, China Merchants Bank (CMB)

Du Bing is the Assistant General Manager of retail digital banking department, CMB. He was formerly the chief retail product manager in CMB, where he was responsible for the internet financial product innovation and operations, including mobile banking app, online banking and WeChat banking. He is the leading digital banking expert in this field.

Mr. Simon Loong, Founder and CEO, WeLab

Simon spent 15 years in the retail banking industry before establishing WeLab. He previously served as Northeast Asia’s regional head of Standard Chartered’s unsecured lending business and has held senior positions at Citibank Asia Pacific. Simon was awarded CEO of the Year by Capital CEO in 2016 and Silicon Dragon’s Entrepreneur Achievement Award in 2014.

Mr. Kenny Liu, President, Financial Services Sector, Enterprise Business Group, Huawei Technologies

Kenny joined Huawei in June 2014 and is now leading global sales activities in the organisation. He has been working in the ICT industry for more than 20 years since his graduation from Zhejiang University with stints as sales executives at leading global technology companies for a number of years. Liu is especially experienced in serving customers in the financial services industry.

Mr. Ericson Chan, Head, Ping An Technology, PingAn Group

Ericson is a financial services professional and leader with a track record across online business, innovation, technology, operations, sourcing, payments, alliances, regulatory compliance and risk governance. He has broad range of functional experience across Asia and in the US, especially on customer experience, digital solutions, service & product differentiation, and operational productivity.

Mr. Jon-Tzen Ng, Head, Strategy and Design, PingAn Technology

Jon-Tzen is currently the head ofstrategy and design, Ping An Technology, who leads the general manager’s office. His responsibilities include strategy, user experience research and design, and brand. He was previously the executive director and head of digital and innovation at Standard Chartered Bank and a member of the advisory board for the Supercharger fintech accelerator programme

Mr. Foo Boon Ping, Managing Editor, The Asian Banker

Foo Boon Ping manages the Asian Banker publication business and engages practitioners, customers, partners and media on critical issues that impact the industry. He has more than 19 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, specializing in strategic branding, marketing communications and consumer insight. Prior to The Asian Banker he was at United Overseas Bank (UOB), covering Singapore and key markets in the region, such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Mr. Matt-Dooley, International Resource Director, Host of The Asian Banker China Innovation Tour

Matt Dooley, a well respected authority on banking innovation will be the chairman of this tour. He is the founder and director of Connected Thinking, providing digital strategy, marketing, and training to banks. Dooley is a member of the Next Bank team with over 20 years international experience driving change at two of the world’s leading banks, across three continents. He was global head of Internet strategy and head of digital experience for the global commercial banking division in HSBC. He pioneered HSBC’s global Internet design standards as a result of establishing the first Internet banking platform back in 2000. Dooley stays abreast of the latest trends in mobile and virtual technology as well as social media and is instrumental in helping participants develop their own personal disciplines in handling these areas.
