Steven Munchenberg, Chief Executive, Australian Bankers Association

Steven Münchenberg is CEO of the Australian Bankers’ Association (ABA), with over 20 years of experience in public policy in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to his appointment as ABA CEO, Münchenberg was group manager, government affairs & public policy at National Australia Bank. In the past, Münchenberg has been deputy CEO of the Business Council of Australia, CEO of a not-for-profit organisation charged with promoting the positive aspects of environmental management in the minerals and energy sectors, and also worked at senior levels within the Australian government.
Mark Hand, Managing Director, Retail Distribution, ANZ

Mark Hand has been with ANZ for more than 24 years, including four years as Head of Audit for the Middle East and South Asia based in Mumbai, India. He is currently responsible for retail distribution channels including the Australian branch network, customer contact centre and ATMs, servicing around five million customers. Prior to his current role, Hand was general manager, regional commercial banking. He achieved significant profit growth and led the acquisition of Landmark Financial Services. He also extended ANZ’s small business banking proposition to regional Australia.
Chris Ho, Head of Digital Content, National Australia Bank

Chris Ho is currently head of digital content at National Australia Bank, a position he is ideally suited in given his diverse background in business process outsourcing, sales, change management as well as people management, in countries including Australia, HK and Philippines. With a passion in technology and how it transforms business processes and people capability, Ho naturally gravitates towards business problems that intersect all three areas of people, process and technology to deliver on customer expectation. Ho is an Art History and Philosophy graduate and believes that the best training in today's business environment is the humanities discipline, especially in connecting disparate ideas and bringing them into execution.
Simon Clarke, Head of Online Banking & User Experience, Suncorp

Simon Clarke currently heads up Suncorp Bank's online channels and has been responsible for designing and delivering the strategy, development and user experience for Suncorp Bank's online banking channels for the last 7 years. He has pioneered innovative online channel development practices to develop multi-award winning websites and platforms for Suncorp Bank customers. Clarke’s background in technology and user experience have aided in designing & delivering end to end online channels in-house for Suncorp Bank that have delivered strong ROI and customer satisfaction.
Julie Elliott, Chief Executive Officer, Bank of Sydney

Julie Elliott
has been chief executive officer at Bank of Sydney since June 2013. Prior to this, Elliot was Westpac’s regional general manager for the inner West, responsible for 14 branches, $130 million in revenue and $10 billion in assets.  In the past, Elliott held a number of senior management positions at NAB, with significant experience in the SME market. She is also chair of the Board of State Trustees, which oversees the operations of an organisation with $1.5 billion in funds under management and a $55 million a year operating budget.
David Gee, Chief Information Officer, Credit Union Australia

David Gee is CIO for CUA (Credit Union of Australia) which has been undergoing a successful large scale transformation. An experienced CIO with more than 17 years in this capacity, Gee has served as CIO across USA, Japan, Asian, China and Australia for a Fortune 500 company. In his 29-year career, Gee was anchored with a strong IT strategy background as a director at both KPMG & Ernst & Young. He has also held management roles at Eli Lilly, Pioneer International, NRMA Insurance and at John Fairfax & Sons.
Andrew Fell, General Manager, Retail Banking, St George Bank

Andrew Fell joined the St. George team in June 2012 to head up the newly formed retail banking division and is responsible for the growth and success of their branch and home lending network across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. Fell has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior to St. George, Fell spent two years with Westpac where he had great success leading the Westpac retail and business banking in Queensland and most recently heading up the premium financial services division. Before Australia, Fell was with RBS and Nat West in the United Kingdom.
Stephen Price, Regional Manager, Australia Post

Stephen Price is currently regional manager of Australia Post's retail sales and service division. He is responsible for the organisation's network of over 1,200 retail outlets across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Prior to joining Australia Post he worked in a variety of consulting and marketing roles.In his current capacity, Price oversees the delivery of an extended range of trusted services that Australia Post provides on behalf of over 750 businesses and government bodies across bill payment, banking, money transfer and identity services. The retail services portfolio also includes the management of Australia Post's retail merchandise, philatelic and post office box product suite.
Suzan Burton, Professor of Marketing, University of Western Sydney

Suzan Burton is a professor of marketing at the University of Western Sydney, Australia. She is a joint author of Australia’s leading Marketing textbook, (Kotler, Burton, Deans, Brown and Armstrong), the author of over 100 refereed publications, and has been awarded ANZMAC Distinguished Marketing Educator of the Year. Her research has been recognised by funding from the Australian Research Council and by nine awards from conferences and journals. Her research focuses on consumer choice, with a particular interest in the determinants of share of wallet in banking.
Jason Pollard, Co-Founder, Public Design Group

Jason Pollard is co-founder of Public Design Group, a retail brand consultancy based in Sydney. He has twenty years’ experience as a retail designer and retail brand strategist, first starting in London with David Davies and FutureBrand prior to forming Public Design Group in 2003 with Dan Cooper. Public Design Group specialises in servicing retail brands, with an impressive client list including National Australia Bank, Toyota, Virgin Active, Bank West, OPSM and Optus in Australia. The group also holds overseas clients including Globe Telecom (Philippines) airtel (India), Telkomsel (Indonesia) and SingTel Shop (Singapore), for which they won the Singapore Retailers Association Best Retail Concept of the year.
Rocky Scopelliti, Group General Manager Industry Executive Telstra

Rocky Scopelliti is not only group general manager industry executive at Telstra, but is also a thought leader in financial services and responsible for leading Telstra’s team of industry specialists covering media & entertainment, retail, mining, construction, utilities, resources, manufacturing, transport and logistics. Scopelliti has more than 20 years senior management experience in the IT and financial services sectors covering product development, strategy and planning, business development, research and strategic marketing. He has also authored a number of thought leadership research reports covering retail banking, business banking, insurance and wealth management.
Frank Cui, Head of Migrant & Asian Banking, Bank of New Zealand

Frank Cui is currently head of migrant & Asian banking at Bank of New Zealand. He joined the banking industry in 2003, and since then has held positions in various sectors of the industry including as personal manager, branch managers, business partners, and manager of retail networks. Over the years he has been responsible for developing corporate strategies, providing leadership to wider organisation, driving market share growth and creating innovative values to both company and community. His valuable leadership qualities have allowed Cui to develop a strong and trustworthy image and inspire young Asian leaders to be successful in NZ. Cui holds other non-work related positions, including as vice-president of NZ Chinese youth chamber of commerce, and serves on the committee of FINSIA NZ Asia Group.
Bosco Tan, Co-Founder, Pocketbook

Bosco Tan is the co-founder of Pocketbook, a Sydney based startup that tries its best to help people reduce the hassle of managing their own money. Tan has a history jumping right into early stage companies, with his first foray being nine years ago when he was right out of university, with BAE Systems Detica. His years of experience working with big corporates to achieve their strategic and budgeting goals now allow him to use these same principles to help individuals. Prior to Pocketbook, Bosco co-founded and invested in a number of other startups, including website shouldichangemypassword.com. Tan has experience and expertise in a number of industries including media, management consulting and information security.
