Amando M. Tetangco, JR., Governor and Chairman of the Monetary Board Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas

As BSP Governor, Tetangco serves as Chairman of the Monetary Board, the BSP’s principal monetary policy-making body. He is also the Chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).

Governor Tetangco has been in the service of the BSP for more than three decades. Prior to his first appointment as Governor in July 2005, he was Deputy Governor in-charge of the Banking Services Sector, Economic Research and Treasury of the BSP. He also served as Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. from 1992 to 1994.

Governor Tetangco is involved in various organizations in the Philippines and overseas. Domestically, he is, among other positions held, Chairman of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Vice-Chairman of the Agriculture Credit Policy Council, member of the Capital Markets Development Council (CMDC) and the Export Development Council (EDC). Overseas, he represents the country in ASEAN Central Bank Forum, Executive Meeting of East Asia and Pacific (EMEAP) Central Banks, South East Asia Central Banks (SEACEN), South East Asia, New Zealand and Australia (SEANZA), and Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA). In addition, he is the Governor for the Philippines in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Alternate Governor in the World Bank (WB) and in the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Lorenzo V. Tan, President, Bankers Association of Philippines, President and CEO, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation
Lorenzo Villanueva Tan has been CEO and president of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) since April 2007, responsible for the business repositioning and growth of RCBC. He spearheaded the bank’s acquisition of a 30-year old thrift bank and a family owned rural bank, which is set to drive RCBC’s future growth in the area of microfinance. Tan has extensive experience in banking both in the Philippines and abroad. He served as president of Philippine National Bank from 2002 to 2005, and United Coconut Planters Bank from 1998 to 2002. In the past, Tan held various senior positions in Citibank North America and Citibank Singapore. He is also currently chairman of the Asian Bankers Association, president of the Bankers Association of the Philippines, and vice chairman, TOYM foundation.
Glenn B. Maguire, Chief Economist, Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group
Glenn Maguire was appointed chief economist, Asia Pacific, for the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group in July 2013, responsible for economic research in South and South-East Asia as well as the Pacific. Maguire has extensive Asian Economics and banking experience, having spent 16 years at Société Générale in roles including as head of Asian economic research based in Hong Kong. He started his career as an economic advisor in the department of the prime minister and cabinet in Canberra Australia and has built a golden rolodex of policy and industry connections at the highest level.
Eddie Hu, Head of Medium Enterprises, SME Banking, Standard Chartered Bank
Eddie Hu is currently Standard Chartered Bank’s head of medium enterprises, SME banking and oversees the business operations of SME centres across the country. Over the 20 years of experience in this banking industry, he has held senior positions in marketing, managing of commercial and corporate relationships and played a critical role in strategizing business plans in elevating SME significance to the bank performance. He has been working closely with the SMI Association of Malaysia, in educating and coaching SMEs.
Carmela A. Pama, Chief Risk Officer, Philippine National Bank
Carmela A. Pama has been chief risk officer of Philippine National Bank since 2006. This involves management of the enterprise risk framework and processes of the banks’ corporate family; to include the banks’ rollout compliance to Basel II, towards Basel III requirements on financial institutional risk management and recently the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process compliance. With over 30 years of experience in financial markets and information technology, she has occupied various positions of critical responsibilities in trade finance, treasury, process management, operations, account management and risk management.
Natividad N. Alejo, Executive Vice President, Head of Retail Segments and Channels Group, Bank of the Philippine Islands
Natividad N. Alejo, is currently executive vice president, as well as head of retail segments and channels group of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). Alejo joined BPI in 1979 and has served as consumer banking group head since 2007. Alejo was president and director of BPI Capital Corporation and BPI Securities Corporation from 2001 to 2006. She has also held the directorial positions at BPI Family Savings Bank and BPI Operations Management Corporation.
Victor Q. Lim, Executive Vice President, Philippine Bank of Communications
Victor Q. Lim is currently executive vice president and head of the retail banking segment with Philippine Bank of Communications (PBCOM). Prior to joining PBCOM he was retail banking group head with Chinatrust Commercial Bank Philippines. Lim also served as senior asset manager and project consultant of Solomon Edwards, assigned to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the West Coast, California office. Lim spent 24 years in Citibank over various locations including: Citibank Shanghai as vice president compliance and control, and as vice president and senior advisor for consumer bank business, assigned to Shanghai Pudong Development Bank; and Citibank Guam as vice president & country business manager.
Ananias Serrano Cornelio III (Jong), Chief Risk Officer, China Banking Corporation
Jong Cornelio joined China Banking Corporation as risk management group head in October 2012. Cornelio was formerly chief risk officer at the Development Bank of the Philippines and has worked in some of the largest commercial banks in the Philippines in the area of risk and controls prior to joining the Government Financial Institution in 2005 as head of financial engineering. Cornelio has also participated in senior-level capacity building programs throughout the region.
Atty. Ranil M. Reynante, SVP-Chief Compliance Officer, Development Bank of the Philippines
Atty. Ranil M. Reynante is the SVP and chief compliance officer for Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP). In this function, he undertakes to lay down all Compliance policies for the bank and implements them across all sectors, departments, and units thereof. Prior to joining DBP he worked for Credit Lyonnaise Securities Philippines as country head of compliance and general legal counsel and for Bank of Philippine Islands Capital Corporation as legal counsel.
John Howard Medina, SVP, Head of Global Operations, Philippine National Bank
John Howard D. Medina currently heads the global operations group at the Philippine National Bank (PNB), managing the operations and back-office support units in the Philippines and overseas branches in the United States, Asia Pacific and Europe. He is also the Integration Director coordinating all integration efforts during the ongoing merger with Allied Banking Corporation. Prior to heading global operations, Medina spearheaded business process transformation and the leveraging of technology to support the business and operations. He was also project director for PNB’s global core banking replacement project which consolidated several core systems running in five countries into a single global processing center in the Philippines.
Marie Josephine M. Ocampo, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Bank of the Philippine Islands
Marie Josephine "Jojo" Ocampo is the senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the Bank of the Philippine Islands. In this role, Ocampo is responsible for retooling the bank’s data warehouse and customer analytics capabilities into its distinct competitive advantage. She also drives and develops the bank’s CRM initiatives on top of driving the bank’s advertising and digital initiatives across its breadth of products, channels and services. Ocampo joined BPI in 1997 as VP for marketing and sales of BPI Credit Cards, and soon took on the position of president for BPI Card Corporation.
Daniel Yu, Senior Vice President, CIO, Head of Transaction Banking Group, Security Bank Corporation
Daniel Yu is senior vice president, chief information officer, and head of transaction banking at Security Bank Corporation (SBC). He also serves as a member of the bank’s technology steering committee, as well as on the board of directors for the electronic-banking consortium BancNet. Prior to joining SBC in 1992 as assistant vice president, he was operations manager at United Saudi Commercial Bank from 1989 to 1991.
Ramon Abasolo, FSVP, Information Technology Philippine National Bank
Ramon Abasolo is currently first senior vice president of IT at Philippine National Bank. He has more than 25 years of professional IT experience in the banking industry having worked in various domains within IT including audit, information security, data center operations, applications development, infrastructure management. Prior to joining PNB he worked at Citibank Manila as well as Citibank Japan for eight years. Abasolo held senior positions such as head of technology infrastructure for two years at Citibank, N.A. Indonesia and as head of applications development for Banco De Oro.
Reynaldo Plana Orsolino, First Senior Vice President, Head of Emerging Corporates Segment, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation
Reynaldo Plana Orsolino is currently first senior vice president and head of emerging corporates segment at Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC). Orsolino has been credited with developing RCBC's SME programme and overall approach to managing small credits. Prior to joining RCBC in 2007, he served in various senior capacities in the field of credit and account management at Philippine National Bank, Planters Development Bank, Asianbank Corporation and Land Bank of the Philippines.
Paula Leynes Felipe, Operations Officer, Access to Finance Advisory, International Finance Corporation
Paula Felipe leads the access to finance business line of IFC Advisory Services Philippines where she is managing the delivery of technical assistance to key private sector partners in financial markets in the areas of agri-finance, agri-insurance and gender finance. In addition, she leads IFC's engagement with relevant government agencies to establish better credit reporting practices and develop and enhanced movable asset collateral registry system. She is also the regional coordinator for risk management for East Asia and Pacific, providing risk expertise in IFC's engagement in the financial sector in Myanmar. Prior to joining IFC, she was in senior roles in both HSBC and Standard Chartered Philippines in commercial banking, SME banking, trade finance and risk management.
Andy Navarrete, Head of Digital Channel Management Division, Bank of the Philippine Islands
Andy Navarrete is currently head of Bank of the Philippine Islands' (BPI) digital channel management division. Navarette is responsible for the strategic development and management of digital channels for the delivery of banking products and services. He previously headed the Cash Management Department, under BPI's Corporate Banking Group where his primary tasks were product innovation, solutions development and implementation for corporate clients in the areas of collections, disbursements and liquidity management. Navarrete is a career banker with expansive work experience in various multinational banks in Manila, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Jakarta.
Alvin F. Asuncion, Vice President, Customer Management Division, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation
Alvin Asuncion is currently vice president, head of customer management division in Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC). He leads the bank’s initiatives on institutionalizing the customer analytics practice in the bank and its subsidiaries, formalizing processes that oversee present and future initiatives on customer analytics and customer management. He has over 20 years of banking experience in a variety of roles in branch banking operation; business development; information technology and project management. Prior to joining RCBC early in 2013, Asuncion was with Metrobank for 17 years, performing roles in business systems analysis, client management, application development, and project management.
S. Jessymel T. Cruz, AVP, Head of SME Banking Solutions, Union Bank of the Philippines
S. Jessymel T. Cruz is AVP and head of SME banking solutions at Union Bank of the Philippines (Unionbank). Prior to heading the lending department of small and medium enterprises, she was head of the credit risk group for commercial banking and also relationship officer at Unionbank. Before joining Unionbank, Cruz worked as remedial credit officer at the International Exchange Bank. Cruz is a writer and editor in chief for several bank magazines.

Rick Woodham leads the Business Solutions Group for Fidelity Information Services’ ASEAN region. He has been with FIS for more than 20 years in key management roles across many geographical operating units of FIS. His experience is primarily in technology but with management experience in Internet Services, Product and Solution Strategy and Solution Development. In his work he has provided leadership and hands-on consulting by providing direction to FIS and non-FIS customers in the areas of architecture design and IT strategy for all key areas of financial services.
Kanv Pandit, General Manager, Payments Solutions ASEAN, Japan & Korea, Fidelity Information Services
Kanv Pandit is general manager responsible for payments solutions for Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea at Fidelity Information Services (FIS). He is responsible for leading FIS' payments operations and business development activities across the region and has helped the company grow its payments business, including closing large multi-million dollar deals for mission critical payments infrastructure at processors and banks. Prior to FIS, he worked at ACI Worldwide, where he led the regional business solutions and pre-sales functions for the wholesale banking group. He has also previously worked with VWS, a pioneer-creating IP in the area of electronic banking, as well as in the international trade division of Abbott Labs.
Ajay Kapoor, Executive Vice President, Business Process Reengineering Group, HDFC Bank India
Ajay Kapoor is the executive vice president of business process re-engineering group and oversees the strategic function of intermediation between business and technology. Kapoor has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to HDFC Bank, Ajay was with State Bank of India and Times Bank. He worked on the system integration post Times Bank and HDFC Bank merger, which was the first merger of its kind in India. Ajay played an instrumental role in HDFC Bank’s recent successful core banking transformation.
John Foulley ,Director, Financial Services Analytics, Oracle Financial Services Global Business Unit, Asia Pacific & Japan
John Foulley joined Oracle Financial Services global business unit in April 2012 and manages the sales consulting team for financial services analytics, which includes financial crimes, governance risk and compliance, risk management and customer insight in Japan and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Oracle, John was head of the Asia Pacific risk management practice for SAS. In the past, he has also worked for SunGard Front Capital System, Misys risk management and Reuters as well as securities firm Boscher & Fimat and Credit Lyonnais.

Rona Morgan, former Group Head of Risk Strategy, ANZ
Rona Morgan was the former group head of risk strategy at ANZ Bank until 2013, and before that, the head of risk strategy at HSBC Asia Pacific. She was responsible for Basel II implementation for HSBC, leading a large team to successfully adopt the most advanced approaches in one of the world's largest banking group. Her extensive knowledge in risk management is strengthened with a previous background as a commercial banker and a belief in strong regulatory engagement. She attended INSEAD and the London Business School.
