Tony Chew

On 1st May 2011, Tony was appointed to a newly created role as Director (Specialist Advisor) for information technology security and risk management at MAS. He joined MAS in 1999 to head up the Technology Risk Supervision Division. His responsibilities included the development of strategies, programmes, standards and guidelines for the purpose of regulating and supervising financial institutions in respect of technology risk management requirements and information security processes. He managed and led a team of technology risk specialists who conducted onsite inspections and offsite reviews to monitor the risk management capabilities and the effectiveness of information systems security practices prevailing in the financial sector.

He began his professional career as a Chartered Accountant in Australia, specialising in financial accounting, computer auditing and information systems consulting. He had also held senior management positions in the banking industry and private sector. Chew is actively engaged in conducting workshop sessions and speaking at seminars on banking systems security and technology risk management in America, AsiaPacific and Europe. Chew is also a regular keynote speaker at international conferences and global forums.

Benjamin P. Castillo

Benjamin P. Castillo is president and CEO of MegaLink, an interbank network connecting the ATM networks of nineteen members in the Philippines. He has more than 40 years of successful leadership experience as a professional banker in various financial institutions. Prior to joining MegaLink in 2007, Castillo served 10 years as founding President of Export and Industry Bank. In 1989, he joined the Lippo Group (Indonesia) as SVP directly supervising its representative offices in Asia and as general manager of Lippo Bank in the Philippines. He started his career with Citibank in 1969, where he held various senior management positions and assignments within the Asia Pacific region. Aside from his various affiliations, Castillo is presently chairman of the Asian Payment Network.
Tan Eng Pheng

Tan Eng Pheng is currently a member of the senior leadership team at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, responsible for driving technology-enabled business transformation in various economic and social clusters. Among other initiatives, Tan is spearheading efforts to develop and implement a nation-wide, interoperable near field communication (NFC) eco-system to realise the full synergy of mobile Internet and proximity-based transactions. Tan has more than 27 years of Infocomm industry experience, and has held various roles such as the chief information officer in a ministry as well as director for eGovernment planning for the public sector.
Jocelyn Ang

Jocelyn Ang has been chief operating officer of NETS since November 2011. During her tenure with NETS, Ang held various senior management positions including as managing director overseeing the merchant network, NETS debit payment and Internet payment business group. She also served as general manager of operations as well as of their cards and processing business. Ang also held the post of general manager, business development and strategic planning. Prior to joining NETS, she worked for Singapore Network Services, where she held various positions in the areas of business development, business planning and product development. Ang has more than 20 years of experience in the payments and electronic commerce industry.

Steve Monaghan

Steve Monaghan is currently Chief Innovation Officer of DBS Group and presently serves on Intel’s Enterprise Board of Advisors.  Previously he has held various leadership roles for companies including CEO of Competitive Capital, GM Retail Banking of Shinsei Bank, Head of Consumer Finance of OCBC Bank and Head of e-Commerce of Citibank Corporate Bank Singapore and held Asia Pacific Product Management roles with Dell and Compaq.  He filed and was awarded Citibank’s first mobile payments patent and has since filed a number of other patents in mobile payments and commerce.  Steve holds an EMBA with ‘First in Class’ academic standing from the Helsinki School of Economics.

Sandeep Bhalla is currently regional head of decision management for Citibank Asia Pacific and is responsible for leading the complete analytical framework and strategy to drive business growth using data. Bhalla has been with Citibank for over 12 years serving as country head of retail banking for Citibank India as well as credit payments products business manager. Bhalla has worked in the US and Asia, bringing significant experience across both mature and emerging markets. Prior to joining Citi, Bhalla worked in strategy consulting and risk and credit management at PWC and JPMorgan respectively.
Faraaz Ali

Faraaz Ali is the regional head, cards and unsecured lending for ANZ. He manages the overall business and product management functions, working closely with the Asia Pacific country business teams. Prior to joining ANZ, Faraaz worked for Citibank as head of card businesses across Middle-East and North Africa. Based in the US he served as vice president in marketing for CitiCards US where he led alternate channel development for cards. Faraaz started his banking career at Capital One, serving in numerous roles, including as process manager for Canada cards business and project manager for the Capital One Auto Finance Group.

Dwaipayan Sadhu is the head of consumer transaction banking, mortgage and auto loans, Singapore and Southeast Asia at Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to this, Sadhu spent more than 10 years in various management roles overseeing the credit card and unsecured loans business, Internet and mobile banking, as well as deposits and secured loans business in Standard Chartered Bank Singapore and India. Sadhu has been instrumental in launching innovative consumer banking products across various markets and spearheading online and mobile banking initiatives across Southeast Asia.
Amos Ang

Amos Ang joined UOB Limited in 2001 and currently as senior vice president of business intelligence in productivity management, is responsible for the technology platform and productivity initiatives for group business banking covering Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. He has more than 11 years regional experience in both information technology and retail SME where he has been spearheading projects, driving transformation and introducing new platforms. Ang holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (from University of Newcastle, Australia) and Masters in Applied Finance (from University of Adelaide, Australia).
Solomon Tay

Solomon Tay joined CIMB in January 2011 as head of the Singapore Information Technology department, which provides end-to-end technology solutions and services to the local office needs in Singapore, as well as aligning to the group’s IT vision and directions. Prior to that, he held several senior IT positions at various financial institutions including UOB Bank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays. He started his career with the National Computer Board (Singapore) in 1990 as part of the Singapore Government’s civil service computerization programme to drive the development of IT within the government sector.

T.V. Seshadri is group executive, global products and solutions, Asia/Pacific, Middle East & Africa for MasterCard. Seshadri has held several management roles within MasterCard over the last 15 years in Singapore and India. In his most recent role as division president, South Asia, he successfully spearheaded several innovative card programs and introduced new payment solutions in the areas of virtual payments and cash displacement. Seshadri has also represented MasterCard at numerous industry forums and interacted with various government agencies and entities to deploy electronic payment systems as an effective financial inclusion tool. Prior to joining MasterCard, Seshadri spent 11 years with Bank of America across India, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
