China Banking Association (CBA) was founded in May 2000, approved by People's Bank of China and Ministry of Civil Affaires. It is a national non-profit social organization registered at Ministry of Civil Affaires, and it is a self-discipline organization for the banking industry. China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) take in charge of CBA after its founding in 2003. As of July 2014, CBA has 373 members and 4 observer units.
