Tony Chew Director and Specialist Advisor Monetary Authority of Singapore

On 1st May 2011, Tony was appointed to a newly created role as Director (Specialist Advisor) for information technology security and risk management at MAS. He joined MAS in 1999 to head up the Technology Risk Supervision Division. His responsibilities included the development of strategies, programmes, standards and guidelines for the purpose of regulating and supervising financial institutions in respect of technology risk management requirements and information security processes. He managed and led a team of technology risk specialists who conducted onsite inspections and offsite reviews to monitor the risk management capabilities and the effectiveness of information systems security practices prevailing in the financial sector.
He began his professional career as a Chartered Accountant in Australia, specialising in financial accounting, computer auditing and information systems consulting. He had also held senior management positions in the banking industry and private sector. Chew is actively engaged in conducting workshop sessions and speaking at seminars on banking systems security and technology risk management in America, AsiaPacific and Europe. Chew is also a regular keynote speaker at international conferences and global forums.

Benjamin P. Castillo is president and CEO of MegaLink, an interbank network connecting the ATM networks of nineteen members in the Philippines. He has more than 40 years of successful leadership experience as a professional banker in various financial institutions. Prior to joining MegaLink in 2007, Castillo served 10 years as founding President of Export and Industry Bank. In 1989, he joined the Lippo Group (Indonesia) as SVP directly supervising its representative offices in Asia and as general manager of Lippo Bank in the Philippines. He started his career with Citibank in 1969, where he held various senior management positions and assignments within the Asia Pacific region. Aside from his various affiliations, Castillo is presently chairman of the Asian Payment Network. |

Tan Eng Pheng is currently a member of the senior leadership team at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, responsible for driving technology-enabled business transformation in various economic and social clusters. Among other initiatives, Tan is spearheading efforts to develop and implement a nation-wide, interoperable near field communication (NFC) eco-system to realise the full synergy of mobile Internet and proximity-based transactions. Jocelyn Ang has been chief operating officer of NETS since November 2011. During her tenure with NETS, Ang held various senior management positions including as managing director overseeing the merchant network, NETS debit payment and Internet payment business group. She also served as general manager of operations as well as of their cards and processing business. Ang also held the post of general manager, business development and strategic planning. Prior to joining NETS, she worked for Singapore Network Services, where she held various positions in the areas of business development, business planning and product development. Ang has more than 20 years of experience in the payments and electronic commerce industry. |

Steve Monaghan Chief Innovation Officer DBS Group

Steve Monaghan is currently Chief Innovation Officer of DBS Group and presently serves on Intel’s Enterprise Board of Advisors. Previously he has held various leadership roles for companies including CEO of Competitive Capital, GM Retail Banking of Shinsei Bank, Head of Consumer Finance of OCBC Bank and Head of e-Commerce of Citibank Corporate Bank Singapore and held Asia Pacific Product Management roles with Dell and Compaq. He filed and was awarded Citibank’s first mobile payments patent and has since filed a number of other patents in mobile payments and commerce. Steve holds an EMBA with ‘First in Class’ academic standing from the Helsinki School of Economics.

Based in the US he served as vice president in marketing for CitiCards US where he led alternate channel development for cards. Faraaz started his banking career at Capital One, serving in numerous roles, including as process manager for Canada cards business and project manager for the Capital One Auto Finance Group. |
