The retail banking landscape in the Middle East and Africa is very diverse, nevertheless financial institutions in the region face similar challenges today. An uncertain international political landscape, low commodity prices, the pressure to comply with stricter regulations, increasingly demanding customers and shareholders as well as security threats and competition from fintech players; all these factors are driving institutions to transform the way they operate and innovate in order to compete.
To stay ahead of the competition, banks must not just react, but look into the future and anticipate trends in order to create new and relevant products with an accelerated time to market. In this event, delegates will find inspiration and insights into technologies and business models that will shape the future of the financial service industry.
Format: Workshop and conference
The Future of Finance, Middle East & Africa (formerly called The Middle East and Africa International Banking Convention) is an ongoing annual series of dialogues amongst senior bankers and fintech players in the Middle East and Africa on changes in the global and regional retail banking industry.
For the first time this year, we are offering an additional two-day pre-conference workshop discussing aspects of the transformation to a digital bank. All delegates of the workshop will have free access to the conference. The workshop is limited to 30 delegates in order to ensure an interactive discussion.
